Famous Last Words

"I think there is a world market for maybe five computers."

Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM, 1943"640K ought to be enough for anybody"

Bill Gates, 1981

"32 bits should be enough address space for Internet"

Vint Cerf, 1977

You have now reached the very last words of this issue of hugi released in August 2006. First of all, on behalf of the Hugi staff, I want to thank everybody who supported Hugi, how small or big your contribution may have been. In our opinion this issue of Hugi is one of the best released in the last few years. Although it's difficult to uphold the same quality and/or quantity troughout the years (remember Hugi is being released for over 10 years now) we will try.

I hope you enjoyed this issue of Hugi, which in the days of really fast Internet has become quite large to download compared to earlier issues. We made use of quite a lot of illustrations - photos and pictures inside the articles. Remember to put the mousepointer on them. You'll get some information about the picture or you can even click to enlarge them! We also added some more music for your pleasure to listen to than in past issues. I hope you read this issue of Hugi without prejudice and in an objective way. Criticism is good, but not if, for example, you are not objective. Remember sceners out there, if you have got something to say, say it with flowers! Which is also the slogan of this issue. Inspired by the graphics and design we chose it for this issue. And this slogan also has a positive vibe. The graphicians who made the two title pictures and the closing picture all joined the group Brainstorm after we asked them for a picture and/or after we got the title picture. Coincidence? :)

I would like to thank Adok for the fun the last couple of weeks getting Hugi in shape and working together in a way it should be. Motivate eachother, critisise or point new ideas towards each other etc. I hope you can all appreciate the hard work. After all we're doing this as a hobby, free of charge, to support the demoscene! For the people who thought Adok had a HD-crash last week: It was only a joke ;-)

The next issue will be released when it's finished. Ah, you didnt't expect I would write a release date here now, would you? :) I hope this issue can motivate you to support Hugi and thus the demoscene. My email is always open for your support, advice, ideas, well motivated criticism or just a friendly letter. I can be reached under magic_nah@hotmail.com.

The Summer isn't over yet. This also applies to the demoscene. Parties like Assembly, Evoke and Buenzli will hopefully be a success and give the demoscene many nice releases before we will be heading towards the last months of 2006, heading for the fall and winter.

I hope to see all of you back in the next issue of Hugi. Cheers!
